Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of making your contributions or donations go further, as it allows us to reclaim the basic rate tax you have already paid on your donations as a UK taxpayer.

It means that for every £1 you give us we can claim an extra 25p of tax, at no extra cost to you. All you need to do is complete the form below.

You just need to have paid enough tax to cover the Gift Aid donations you make in the tax year.

You only have to fill in the form once giving us permission to claim Gift Aid each time you pay for counselling with us and you can cancel your declaration at any time simply by getting in touch, either by calling us on 0131 556 1527 or by sending an email with your details to: askus@bright-light.org.uk.

Gift Aid declaration

Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p on every £1 you contribute towards your counselling contributions. All you need to do is make a Gift Aid declaration by agreeing to let us reclaim the tax from HMRC. For example if you contribute £40 Gift Aid will increase that to £50 at no extra cost to you. I am a UK taxpayer and would like Bright Light to reclaim the tax on my contributions or donations. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year then it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
