Employee support scheme

Welcome to our employee support scheme. If you feel we could help you the quickest way is to use our registration service to arrange an appointment and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

If one of the following statements describes how you are feeling, please click on it and complete the registration form.

If you would like to speak to us to get general information about counselling first just call us on 0131 556 1527 or email our operations team.

What happens next?

When we receive your form we will email you:

  • with your dedicated client reference number,

  • a link to the online Intake meeting booking page
    on our website,

  • We will ask you to book an available date and time
    that suits you.

Please keep a note of your reference number, it’s unique to you and you might need to use it sometimes when contacting us.

Your first meeting is with one of our practitioners where you can clarify your needs and goals so that we can ensure our services are right for you. Intake meetings last about 50 minutes and you also will have an opportunity to discuss and agree fee contributions for your counselling appointments.

After your intake appointment is complete:

  • you will have agreed to your regular counselling day
    and time,

  • or you will be placed on our appointment waiting list,

  • we will then email you with a selection of appointments to choose from based on our availability.

You should try to confirm your preferred appointment time as soon as you can as this helps us to keep our waiting list to a minimum.

Counselling is run over 6 sessions on the same day and time each week as agreed at your first counselling appointment. Sometimes more than 6 sessions might be needed but your counsellor will discuss this with you.

Cancelling an appointment

As long as you give more than 48 hours’ notice you can re-schedule an appointment. We recommend you only change an appointment if you really must as it’s better for you not to interrupt your regular counselling sessions if possible. If you give less than 48 hours’ notice that you cannot attend your appointment your employer will still be charged and will need to pay again for your next appointment. You can see our cancellation policy here.
