Big Lottery Fund Award
21 February 2017
We are delighted to share our news at Bright Light that after many months of hard work we have been successful in getting financial support from the Big Lottery Fund for our systemic family therapy service. This work started as a 9 month pilot. During that time we supported families to identify and build on their strengths so that individually and as a family unit they became stronger, more able to cope with life challenges now and in the future. Big Lottery Fund is investing in our families through giving us a grant.
The Big Lottery Fund is the largest funder of community activity in the UK. Their investment programmes put people in control, empowering and enabling them to improve their lives and to actively support their local communities.
Big Lottery Fund Scotland Chair, Maureen McGinn, said: “I am delighted that Bright Light has been successful in securing a Big Lottery Fund grant. The funding will make a big difference where it is needed most and I wish Bright Light every success as it goes on to develop and expand its project for the benefit of their local community.”
