If you think building strong relationships are key to achieving healthy communities and a thriving Scotland then we want to hear from you. After three years terrific service with us, our current Treasurer is having to move on to pastures new. We are therefore looking for a new dynamic Treasurer who will also have the opportunity to become a new Board Member and help shape our strategic direction and governance taking us onto the next stage of our charity development.
We have exciting plans for the future and need you to support our financial management and, as a new Board member be part of our forward thinking, enthusiastic, and energetic team – come and be part of our journey. If you have a financial background and want to give something back to society by helping our charity whilst learning new skills in return then your application would be especially welcomed.
Established in 1947, and based in Edinburgh’s New Town, we were known as Couple Counselling Lothian but on 29 February 2016 we launched Bright Light. Our new name more accurately reflects our energy as a professional counselling organisation and the wider range of counselling services offered – we are no longer predominantly couple counselling.
Relationships are what matter most to us all and at Bright Light each year we help over 6000 people living in Edinburgh and the Lothians get the most out of the relationships that they recognise matter most to them – we support individuals, couples, children of all ages, grandparents, siblings, kinship carers, adult children with their parents, looked after children, aunties, uncles, friends, carers and other professionals, helping with relationship issues before they reach crisis point. Issues such as family communication, physical and/or mental abuse, child and adolescent behaviour, mental health, parenting issues, gender issues, physical illness and disability, separation, divorce, step family life, fostering, adoption, kinship care, loss of a loved one.
For an informal chat about this opportunity please phone 0131 556 1527 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application pack.
We look forward to hearing from you.
